This topic revolves around two core ideas: sequence and quantity. Counting is our way of understanding both. A. What is Counting Forwards? Counting forwards means saying the number names in the correct order, starting from a smaller number and going to a larger number. Each number we say is one more than the one before it. Think of it like climbing a ladder, one step at a time. We always go up!
