Lesson summary

*Commentary:* Both sketches are quick and communicate the core idea. Idea A is very traditional and easy to build. Idea B is more visually interesting but requires an angled cut, which is slightly more complex. For this exercise, let's proceed with the simpler Idea A. Question 2: Produce a working drawing for Idea A in Third Angle Orthographic Projection. The bookshelf should be 300mm long, 150mm high, and 120mm deep. Use wood that is 15mm thick. Include overall dimensions.

Question 2: Produce a working drawing for Idea A in Third Angle Orthographic Projection. The bookshelf should be 300mm long, 150mm high, and 120mm deep. Use wood that is 15mm thick. Include overall dimensions.

Solution 2: Here is the working drawing in Third Angle Projection. Notice the layout: Top View is above the Front View.

*Commentary:* The drawing clearly shows the three main views. The dimensions are placed outside the object and are easy to read. The projection symbol in the title block confirms it is Third Angle. A carpenter can now understand exactly what to build.
