This section is the core of our lesson. I will explain the main ideas step-by-step. What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)?
Think of AI as the science of making computers smart. It's about creating computer systems that can perform tasks that normally require human intelligence. This includes things like learning, reasoning, problem-solving, understanding language, and seeing things (like recognizing a face in a photo). What is a Knowledge-Based System (Expert System)?
An Expert System is a type of AI program that mimics the decision-making ability of a human expert. Imagine you could capture all the knowledge of the best cocoa farmer in your district and put it into a computer program. That program would be an expert system. Farmers could then ask it questions and get expert advice.
