Mathematics Lesson Note: B2 Grade 2 - Number Overview and Learning Objectives Akwaaba! Today, we are going to explore the wonderful world of numbers! Understanding numbers helps us in our everyday lives, from counting our mangoes at the market to sharing toffees with our friends.
What is Counting?
Counting is like reciting a special song with number words. We say "one, two, three..." It helps us know how many items are in a group. We can count forward (increasing) or backward (decreasing).
Example 1: Counting Forward
Imagine you have 5 stones and someone gives you 3 more. Let's count on to find the total: 5... 6, 7, 8. You now have 8 stones.
