The teacher revisits the previous lesson on food items gotten from plants

The teacher then explains the reasons why we eat food

1. for growth

2. for energy

3. to build strong bones, muscles and teeth

4. to regulate our body temperature

5. to fight against diseases and infections that may want to attack the body

6. for the repair and replacement of worn out tissues

7. to assist in food digestion
