1) Define obedience

2) Mention people in the Bible that obeyed God

3) Discuss what they do to show obedience to God

4) Describe the rewards people received for obeying God

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Holy Bible: Phi 2;9, Gen 12:2-4a, Deut 28:1-14, picture of Moses in the burning bush

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION OF TOPIC

The teacher introduces the topic with the song ‘make me a good child likeSamuel’.She explains that obedience is the act of being obedient.

EXPLANATION

She further mentions people that obeyed God like Samuel, Abraham. She also explains what to do to be obedient and what is got/gained from being obedient

Using Bible Texts and pictures of Moses in the burning bush she explains more on obedience

The teacher writes a short note on the board for the pupils to copy

NOTE

Obedience is the act of being obedient. Some obedient people  in the Bible were Samuel, Abraham, Moses. We can be obedient by being respectful, doing the right things we are told to do.

       Obedient children are usually appreciated with gifts like biscuits, sweets. They are known to have good reputations
