Subject-verb agreement means that a subject and its verb must be both singular or both plural: A singular subject takes a singular verb. A plural subject takes a plural verb.

‘is’ is used for singular subject(verb)

He has a book

 

‘have’ is used for plural subjects

They have a big house

Martha and Zenah have not come

NOTE: Use have for ‘you’ or ‘I’
