STEP 1

INTRODUCTION OF TOPIC

The teacher introduces the topic with a song. She tells the pupils that commandments are laws that must be obeyed.

Pupils  pay attention

EXPLANATION

She then tells them the Ten commandments and why God gave them to us.

Using Bible Texts and charts she shows the pupils the ten commandments

The teacher writes a short note on the board for the pupils to copy

NOTE

Commandments are laws that must be obeyed. It is an exercise of authority. The ten commandments are:

1)You shall have no  other God before me

2) You shall not make for yourself any graven image

3) You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain

4) Observe the Sabbath day to keep it holy

5) Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you

6) You shall not kill

7) Neither shall you commit adultery

8)  Neither shall you steal

9) Neither shall you bear false witness against your neighbor

10) Neither shall you covet your anything that is your neighbour’s

     God gave us commandments so we can walk in the path of righteousness, do His will and make heaven at last
