  1. Discuss the various names given to titles holders in various communities
  2. State the symbols of authority of title holders

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Picture chart of title holders with their symbols of authority of the yorubas, igbos and Hausas.

Title holders are people given a title by their community to recognize their great achievements toward the growth development of the community

DEMONSTRATION

Using pictures, she outlines the various names given to title holders in various communities

Some titles are hereditary and some were chosen based on their achievements

Here are some of the titles in yorubaland

1. Parakoyi-A security counselor and head of trade units

2. Akogun- War general

3. Asipa- head of the hunters and civil defenders of the community

4. Asiwaju- Someone who spearheads the development of the community

5. Basorun- The head of the traditional titles and next to the king in authority

6. Alapinrin- the capain of the masquerades and traditional activities
