2)Explain the important value derived from ceremony

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Audio visual resources: Ceremonial event pictures, ceremonial costume and clothes, different ceremonial foods

INTRODUCTION OF THE TOPIC

The teacher introduces the topic with a song. She mentioned the types of ceremonies are traditional ceremonies, religious testimonies etc

Types of Ceremonies

  • Traditional ceremonies: Examples are Naming ceremony, marriage, fishing.
  • Religious ceremonies: Examples are Christmas, salah
  • Carnivals ceremonies: Examples are Lagos carnivals, Calabar carnival
  • National ceremonies: Examples are National arts, Culture festivals

Important Values of Ceremonies

  • Brings people together
  • Educate and enlighten the youth about culture
  • Encourages love and sharing among one another.
  • Promotes culture
