1) State the uses of air

2) Describe the different parts of the home and their uses

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Audio visual resources, pictures and charts showing the uses of air, pictures showing the different parts of the home

INTRODUCTION

The teacher revises the previous lesson on the air and the home

She introduces the new topic by enumerating the uses of air

1. it is used to regulate the temperature

2. it is used to inflate balloons, tyres and swimming tubes

3. it makes fire burn

4. it is used to fly kites and airplanes

5. it is used to sail boats and windmills

6. it helps to dry clothes

1. sitting room- this is where the family relaxes and enjoy family time

2. dining room- this is where e eat and drink

3. bedroom- this is where we sleep

4. Kitchen- this is where all the cooking and washing of plates happen

5. toilet- this is where we pass our body waste

6. Bathroom- this is where we take our bath

7. Store- this is where food and other items are kept
