SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to

1) Describe air

2) Mention things that make us feel the presence of air

3) Explain the meaning of home

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Audio visual resources, pictures of things that makes us feel the presence of air e.g balloons, paper kite, airplanes etc, pictures of a beautiful and dirty home

INTRODUCTION

The teacher revises the previous lesson on the benefits of the sun to human beings and plants and the care of the eyes

She introduces the new topic by describing air

Air is a mixture of gases. When it is strong it is called WIND and when it is light, it is called BREEZE

 

She lists some things that makes us to feel the presence of air

1. when we inflate a balloon

2. an airplane in the sky

3. flying a kite

4. the feeling of coolness from a fan or an air conditioner etc
