Political background in a literary text simply means a narrative and survey of political events, ideas, movements, organs of government, voters, parties and leaders as literature
Examples of Literary texts in Nigeria set in a political background include 1. The Nigerian Civil War by John de St Jorre 2. My Nigeria by Peter Cunliffe-Jones 3. Things fall apart by Chinua Achebe 4. March by Jon Lewis 5. Ake by Wole Soyinka
