Meaning of heroes and heroines
A hero is a man who we admire for doing a brave and great thing
A heroine is a woman who we admire for doing a brave and great thing
GANI FAWEHINMI
He was an author, human and civil rights lawyer, politician, author and a publisher. He was known for his constant fight for human right. He was beaten, imprisoned and deported severally from various parts of the country for fighting for human and civil rights of Nigerians.
In 2008 he rejected the honour of the Order of the Federal Republic(OFR) from the federal government in protest of the many years of misrule of Nigeria since its independence.
He died on 5th September 2009 after a prolonged battle with cancer
