INSTRUCTIONALPROCEDURES

PERIOD 1: Air

PRESENTATION

TEACHER’S ACTIVITY

PUPIL’S ACTIVITY

STEP 1

Introduction of the topic

The teacher revisits the previous lesson on the existence of air

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

Explanation

She demonstrates that air occupies space by blowing air into the balloon to inflate it as the pupils do the same

Pupils participate and pay attention

STEP 3

Demonstration

Using, the inflated balloon she and the pupils let out the air in the balloon to model air exerting pressure

Pupils pay attention

CLASS ACTIVITY: Pupils watch a video clip and carry out an experiment that shows that air occupies space and exerts pressure using bottles, balloons, straw and water

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively

PERIOD 2 and 3: Parts of a computer. Ball games

PRESENTATION

TEACHER’S ACTIVITY

PUPIL’S ACTIVITY

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher revisits the previous lesson on functions of scanner, printer and hard disk

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the functions of the

Flash drive- Flash drives are used to store any type of data file, or to move data from one computer to another.

OTG- An OTG or On The Go adapter (sometimes called an OTG cable, or OTG connector) allows you to connect a full sized USB flash drive or USB A cable to your phone or tablet through the Micro USB or USB-C charging port.

USB- The Universal Serial Bus (USB) is technology that allows a person to connect an electronic device to a computer. It is a fast serial bus.

RAM- Random-access memory (or simply RAM) is the memory or information storage in a computer that is used to store running programs and data for the programs. Data (information) in the RAM can be read and written quickly in any order.

ROM- ROM(Read OnlyMemory) is a memory chip whose main function is to store data. You can only read the data of ROM and cannot make any changes to it

Pupils pay attention and participates

STEP 3

DEMONSTRATION

The teacher leads the pupils to the playground and demonstrates some of the skills in ball games including kicking, passing, throwing, catching, dribbling etc

Pupils participate

STEP 4

NOTE TAKING

The teacher writs a short note on the board

The pupils copy the notes in their books

NOTE

Functions of computer peripherals
