STEP 1 – INTRODUCTION

Shows a container with objects and another empty one. Asks: “What is in this?”

STEP 2 - EXPLANATION

Introduces the word “Zero” and explains it means “nothing.”

STEP 3 - INTERACTIVE SESSION

Asks pupils to show empty hands and say “zero.”

STEP 4 - NOTE TAKING

Writes number 0 on the board. Pupils copy.

EVALUATION:

  1. What number means nothing?
  2. Write zero in your book.
  3. Circle zero on the number line.
