Dear Diary,

         Today is really an ________ day. My father and brother helped me to ______ my room. It was my mum’s idea. She said that my room needed a new coat of paint since Christmas is coming.

         We bought two cans of paint, two big ________ and a brush from the hardware shop. My older brother, Ken, was as excited as I was. First, we ________ the old paint off. Then we painted the walls blue and the ceiling white.
