INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the Old Macdonald had a farm song and introduces the topic and explains that living things are things that have life in them

EXPLANATION

She gives various examples of living things such as

- Plants like rose flower, lily, sunflower etc

- Animals like dogs, cat, pig etc

- Human beings

She asks the pupils to tell the class the various living things they see at their various homes

The teacher revisits the previous lesson and introduces the new topic by explaining what a computer is

 

A computer is an electronic device capable of receiving data, processing it and bringing it out as information

The teacher plays the video on the uses of computer over the years and ask the pupils to jot down their observations

 

From the video, she highlights these uses of the computer

1. For viewing photos

2. for watching cartoons

3. For online classes and learning

4. to make and communicate with friends online via social media e.g Facebook, Instagram etc

5. to deposit and withdraw money e.g ATM machine

6. To type, format, print, send and receive document across the world

7. To make payments across the world

DEMONSTRATION

She further explains what movements means

Movement is the change in position

 

She explains and demonstrates some movement as the pupils do the same e.g leaping, hopping, running, stepping, catching of objects, throwing of objects, striking of objects, etc

 

She further states the safety rules in making movement

1. only carry out the movement when your teacher is around

2. do the movement gently

3.  Don’t do any movement if you are sick, weak or tired

4. Don’t do a movement that is too difficult for you
