PAUL IN THESSALONICA

Paul visited Thessalonica on his journey. In the city, he visited the synagogue. This was where the Jews met for prayers and study the word of God. For three weeks, he went to the synagogue to explain the word of God to them on Sabbath days. Many of the Greeks, believed what he told them (Acts 17:1-4)

Trouble in Thessalonica

The Jews who did not believe Paul gathered some bad men in the city to cause trouble. They looked for Paul and Silas in Jason of house. When they could not find them, they took Jason and other Christians to the rulers. They gave a report that they stayed in the house of Jason to do the same in Thessalonica. They also said they wanted the people to turn against the laws of their great ruler Caesar and follow after another King Jesus. The leaders became worried and they made the believers pay a fine.
