Objective: At the end of the lesson pupils should be able to

Special dishes and drink in the locality

Dishes                            Drinks

Akara (beans cake) and pap            orange drink

Chicken and jollof rice                coconut drink

Chicken, okro soup with “tuwo masara”        “kunu zaki”

Egusi (melon) and vegetable soup with amala    palm wine

Meat and egusi soup with “eba” or “fufu”,    cashew drink

cassava meal.

Beef and ‘oha’ soup with pounded yam        “Nchi – chi”

“Moi – moi”,rice, beef and tomato sauce        pineapple drink

 

Presentation:

Step I: Teacher revises previous lesson with pupils

Step II: Teacher introduces and explains new topic to pupils

Step III: Pupils are allowed to ask questions

Step IV: Teacher writes notes on the board for pupils.

Evaluation:

  1. Mention four from your locality
  2. List four traditional drinks

Conclusion: Teacher move round for inspection, marking and correction of notes where necessary.
