Information can be described as a processed data that has meaningful facts and useful to the receiver.

It makes use computers, telecommunication devices networking devices etc for processing, transmission, retrieval and storage of processed data which could be in form of

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is used interchangeably with IT.
