Influences of Working Parents on Nigerian Family Life

Working parents are people who have children and are also engaged in paid jobs or self-employment.

Generation of more income

Lack of adequate attention or care

Use of babysitters

Use of day care centre’s

Negative effects of foreign influences on Nigerian family life

  1. The use of babysitters and day – care centres affect the usual bonding between parents and children.
  2. The good values of the extended family system is declining
  3. Nigeria’s religious and cultural practices may lose as a result of foreign influence.
  4. Young ones are copying the negative aspects of foreign cultural.

Presentation:

Step I: Teacher revises previouslesson with pupils

Step II: Teacher introduces and explains new topic to pupils

Step III: Pupils are allowed to ask questions

Step IV: Teacher writes notes on the board for pupils

Evaluation:

  1. List the influences of working parents on Nigerian family life
  2. List three negative effects on foreign influences on Nigerian family life.

Conclusion: Teacher moves round for inspection, marking and correction of notes where necessary.
