Objective: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to identify people who are engaged in Agriculture.

Content

Agriculture is known as the acts of sowing seeds into the soil as well as domesticating animals. Different people are involved in agriculture through which they earn their living.

People Involved in Agriculture

  • Crop Farmers: These are farmers who mainly sow seeds into the soil in order to raise crops.
  • Animal Rearers: They are farmers that keep livestock for their milk, meat, and egg.
  • Hunter: This is a person who hunts animals or birds for foods in the bush.
  • Fishermen: They are men involved in catching fishes in the ocean or sea.
  • Market People: These are people involve in selling of farm produce to the final consumer.
  • Gardeners: They are those involved in the maintenance of flowers and shrubs.
  • Lumber men: They are those people who are involved in the felling of logs in the forest.

Step I: Teacher revises previous lesson with pupils

Step II: Teacher introduces and explains new topic to pupils

Step III: Pupils are allowed to ask questions.

Step IV: Teacher writes note on the board for pupils
