Show real foods or plastic replicas (rice, beans, yam, plantain, bread).

Discuss types of foods eaten in Nigeria.

Children touch, smell, and identify foods.

Use pictures and books to reinforce learning.

Sing songs about foods.

Create food discussion circle to talk about favorite foods.

 

Materials Needed:

Real food samples (uncooked)

Plastic food replicas

Food picture cards

Nigerian food chart

Food basket

 

Movement Break:

Play “Food Hunt” game: children find picture cards of foods around the classroom.

 

Creative Time:

Draw favorite Nigerian foods.

Paste food pictures on charts.
