  2. Relate weather to feelings: hot or cold.
  3. Recognize appropriate clothing for each weather type.
  4. Understand seasonal changes in their environment.

 

Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Show sunny day and rainy day pictures.

Pupils repeat: “sun, hot, rain, cold, wet.”

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Show pictures of people in sun wearing hats and light clothes, and in rain wearing umbrella and raincoat.

Pupils express how each weather feels.

Discuss daily activities for each weather (shade, umbrellas, rain boots).

 

Materials Needed:

Sun and rain pictures

Weather charts

Pictures of people in different weather

Umbrella, hat, raincoat

 

Movement Break:

March in sun (pretend hot) and splash in puddle (pretend rain).

 

Creative Time:

Draw a sunny scene and a rainy scene. Colour accordingly.

 

Language Development:

Teacher: “Sunshine makes us feel hot. Rain makes us feel cold and wet.”

Pupils repeat: “sun, hot, rain, cold, wet, umbrella, hat, raincoat.”

 

Assessment (Observation-Based):

✔ Can the child identify sunny and rainy weather?
