Welcome song

Show pictures of children exercising and resting

Pupils demonstrate happy/energetic faces

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Teacher demonstrates exercises (stretching, jumping, running in place, dancing).

Pupils follow along safely.

Teacher demonstrates resting and sleeping positions.

Pupils mime sleeping/resting and understand importance of rest.

 

Materials Needed:

Exercise mat

Pictures of exercise and sleeping children

Music, charts, pillows for rest demonstration

 

Movement Break

Pupils stretch, jump, run safely

Pupils lie down or sit quietly to rest

 

Creative Time:

Colour pictures of children exercising and resting

Paste images showing “Active” vs “Resting”

Pupils repeat words and relate actions to themselves
