Learning Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify the head on their own body.
  2. Recognize parts of the head: eyes, ears, nose, mouth.
  3. Understand simple uses: brain inside head, eyes see, ears hear, nose smells, mouth eats/speaks.
  4. Learn basic head safety (wear helmet when riding bike).

 

Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Teacher points to own head and names parts.
Pupils repeat names.

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Pupils touch their head and point to parts.
Observe pictures of heads and body diagrams.
Discuss head uses and safety.

 

Materials Needed:

Head pictures, mirror, charts, body diagram, helmet picture, dolls.

 

Movement Break:

Pretend to wear a helmet and nod head slowly.

 

Creative Time:

Draw a face with eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.

 

Language Development:

Teacher: “The head is on top of the body.”
Pupils repeat: “head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth.”

 

Assessment (Observation-Based):

✔ Can the child point to their head?
✔ Can the child name parts of the head?
✔ Does the child understand head safety?
