Teacher introduces “environment” as “the place around us”

Pupils point to items in the classroom

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Teacher takes pupils on a guided walk around the classroom and school environment.

Pupils observe objects like chairs, tables, playground items.

Teacher shows pictures of home, school, playground environments.

Introduce concept of “clean” and “dirty” using simple pictures.

Pupils identify clean and dirty items from images.

Pictures of home, school, playground

Charts, posters

Real classroom environment

Video clips

Walk around the classroom or playground

Point to items while naming them

Draw or colour classroom or playground items

Stick picture cut-outs of clean and dirty places
