Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Show real potted plants, flowers, and pictures of trees.
Teacher points to leaves, stem, roots while pupils repeat names.

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Pupils observe and touch plants gently.
Identify flowers, grass, and trees in the classroom or garden.
Discuss simple characteristics: leaves are green, stem is hard/soft, roots in soil.

 

Materials Needed:

Real potted plants, flowers, tree pictures, garden area, charts, leaves.

 

Movement Break:

Pretend to be growing plants: stretch arms like a stem, sway like leaves.

 

Creative Time:

Draw a simple plant with leaves, stem, and roots.
Colour the plant parts.

 

Language Development:

Teacher: “This is a leaf.”
Pupils repeat: “leaf, stem, root, plant, flower, tree.”

 

Assessment (Observation-Based):
