  4. Recognize foods in pictures and toy foods.

 

Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Teacher shows real foods and pictures.

Pupils repeat names of foods.

Discuss simple reason for eating: “We eat to grow strong.”

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Pupils touch and explore foods with supervision.

Play with toy foods and identify each.

Show pictures of children eating and discuss.

 

Materials Needed:

Real foods, toy foods, plates, charts, pictures of children eating.

 

Movement Break:

Pretend to prepare and eat food in a circle.

March around holding plates.

 

Creative Time:

Colour pictures of foods.

Paste pictures of foods in a “My Favorite Foods” chart.

 

Language Development:

Teacher: “We eat rice and beans.”

Pupils repeat: “rice, beans, bread, egg, fruit.”

Picture talk: “What is this?” (Bread.)

 

Assessment (Observation-Based):
