  2. Touch their own nose gently.
  3. Understand the nose is used for smelling and breathing.
  4. Practice smelling safe scents.
  5. Learn nose safety: not putting things inside.

 

Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Teacher points to nose and says “nose.”

Pupils repeat and touch their nose.

Show pictures of noses.

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Pupils smell safe items (flowers, orange).

Practice breathing in and out through nose.

Discuss nose safety: “Don’t put things in your nose.”

Play pointing and naming game with doll noses.

 

Materials Needed:

Nose pictures, mirror, charts, flowers, fruits, safe scented items, doll.

 

Movement Break:

Pupils pretend to smell flowers and fruits around the room.

Stretch arms and sniff high and low.

 

Creative Time:

Colour pictures of noses.

Draw something they like to smell.

 

Language Development:

Teacher: “We use nose to smell and breathe.”

Pupils repeat: “nose, smell, breathe.”

Picture talk: “What do we use our nose for?”

 

Assessment (Observation-Based):

✔ Can the child point to and touch their nose?
✔ Can the child identify smells?
✔ Can the child say what nose is used for?
