  4. Compare home and classroom objects.

 

Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Show pictures of home objects.

Pupils repeat names of objects.

Discuss simple uses: “We sleep on bed,” “We eat with spoon.”

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Teacher brings real items (cup, spoon, plate) for pupils to touch.

Pupils explore and identify objects in dollhouse pictures.

Compare similarities and differences between home and classroom objects.

 

Materials Needed:

Pictures of home objects, real home items (cup, spoon, plate), charts, flashcards, dollhouse.

 

Movement Break:

Pupils pretend to eat using spoons and plates.

March to “pick up” home objects around the classroom.

 

Creative Time:

Colour pictures of home objects.

Make a small “home” collage with cut-out objects.

 

Language Development:

Teacher says: “This is a spoon.”

Pupils repeat: “spoon, plate, bed.”

Picture talk: “What is this?” (Cup.)

 

Assessment (Observation-Based):

✔ Can the child point to home objects?
✔ Can the child say the name of an object?
✔ Can the child compare home and classroom objects?
