Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Call each child by name and encourage them to respond.

Sing name songs: “Where is [name]? Here I am!”

Show name tags or name cards with child’s photo.

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Point to each child and say their name.

Children respond by raising hand or saying “Yes.”

Practice saying their own name individually.

Play circle games using names.

 

Materials Needed:

Name tags with photos

Name chart

Mirrors

Name cards

 

Movement Break:

Clap hands when their name is called.

Walk around pointing to themselves when named.

 

Creative Time:

Children trace or colour their names on large cards.

Stick their name on a personal chart.

 

Language Development:

Teacher says: “This is [child’s name].”

Children repeat: “[Name].”

Encourage saying: “My name is ___.”

Assessment (Observation-Based):
