  2. Describe stones as hard and heavy.
  3. Identify different sizes and colors of stones.
  4. State one use of stones.

 

Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Pass around small stones for children to touch.
Ask: “Are stones soft or hard?”

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Sort stones by size (big/small) or color.
Test that stones sink in water.
Discuss uses of stones (building houses, roads).
Talk about safety (do not throw stones).

 

Materials Needed:

Different stones/pebbles, bowl of water, sorting trays.

 

Movement Break:

Pretend to be heavy like a big rock.

 

Creative Time:

Make simple art using glued pebbles (with supervision).
