Show a broom and scissors.

Demonstrate sweeping with a broom.
Show how scissors cut paper (with supervision).
Discuss safety rules (adults use knives and hammers).

 

Materials Needed:

Broom, spoon, scissors (child-safe), pictures of hammer and knife.

Pretend to sweep the classroom.

Draw a simple machine used at home.
