Main Activity (Hands-On):

Let children test objects (wood, sponge, paper boat, cork).
Ask children to guess before putting objects in water.
Talk about why some objects float (light or have air).
Discuss that boats float on water.

Materials Needed:

Basin of water, wooden block, sponge, cork, leaf, plastic bottle, paper boat.

Movement Break:

Pretend to float like a boat on water.

Creative Time:

Make and float a paper boat.
