Learning Objectives:

  2. Identify safety rules at home, school, and on the road.
  3. Recognize stranger danger and know how to stay safe.
  4. Know personal information and emergency contacts.

 

Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Discuss what safety is and why following rules prevents harm.

Show pictures of safe vs unsafe behaviors at home, school, and road.

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Role-play safety scenarios: fire safety, electrical safety, playing safely.

Practice road safety: holding adult’s hand, looking left and right, obeying traffic lights.

Practice saying full name, parents’ names, and home address.

 

Materials Needed:

Safety posters, storybooks about safety, toy fire extinguishers, traffic light model, road crossing mat, danger pictures, emergency contact chart.

 

Movement Break:

Pretend crossing the road safely and practicing fire safety movements.

 

Creative Time:

Draw a scene showing safe behavior at home, school, or on the road.

 

Language Development:

Words: “Safe,” “Danger,” “Stranger,” “Stop,” “Look,” “Hand”
Children repeat words during demonstration, role-play, and drawing.

 

Assessment (Observation-Based):
