Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Ask: “Have you seen an ant?”
Show pictures of butterfly, bee, ant, mosquito.

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Count six legs on an insect picture.
Sort pictures into “Insects” and “Not insects.”
Discuss that some insects fly and some crawl.

 

Materials Needed:

Insect picture charts, magnifying glass (toy), flashcards.

 

Movement Break:

Fly like a butterfly, crawl like an ant, jump like a grasshopper.

 

Creative Time:

Draw and color a butterfly or ladybug.
