  2. Demonstrate proper nail hygiene: keeping nails short, clean, and trimmed.
  3. Understand why biting nails is bad.
  4. Recognize adult help for trimming nails safely.

 

Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Show pictures of clean vs dirty nails.

Discuss why long or dirty nails can be harmful.

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Demonstrate washing hands and cleaning under nails.

Let children inspect their own nails in mirrors.

Practice trimming with supervision or role-play using toy nail clippers.

 

Materials Needed:

Mirrors, nail clippers (child-safe/toy), handwashing station, nail hygiene posters, clean/dirty nails pictures.

 

Movement Break:

Pretend to wash hands and rub nails.

 

Creative Time:

Draw their hands showing clean, trimmed nails.
