  1. Explain why the nose is important for breathing and smelling.
  2. Demonstrate proper nose care: blowing nose gently, using tissue/handkerchief, washing hands after touching nose.
  3. Identify safe habits: not picking nose, not putting objects inside, disposing tissues properly.
  4. Recognize when to tell adults about blocked nose or nosebleeds.

 

Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Discuss how nose helps us breathe and smell.

Show pictures of clean vs dirty nose care practices.

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Demonstrate blowing nose properly: one nostril at a time.

Practice tissue disposal and handwashing afterward.

Role-play telling adult if nose is blocked or bleeding.

 

Materials Needed:

Tissues, handkerchiefs, handwashing station, nose hygiene posters, storybooks about nose care, mirrors.

Movement Break:

Pretend blowing nose and washing hands.

 

Creative Time:

Draw a picture showing proper nose care and tissue disposal.
