  4. Chew with mouth closed and say “Please/Thank you.”
  5. Clean up after eating.

 

Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Discuss proper hand washing before meals.

Talk about sitting posture and utensil use.

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Demonstrate good table manners.

Model proper eating behavior.

Practice during snack time using picture cards.

 

Materials Needed:
Table setting, plates, spoons, forks, cups, napkins, table manners posters, good/bad manners picture cards, snacks for practice

 

Movement Break:

Pretend eating actions or utensil practice.

 

Creative Time:

Draw or color scenes showing good/bad table manners.

Role-play mealtime.

Language Development:

Words: “Please,” “Thank you,” “Spoon,” “Fork,” “Sit,” “Chew.”

Pupils repeat during demonstration and role-play.

 

Assessment (Observation-Based):
✔ Can the child wash hands before eating?
✔ Can the child sit properly and hold utensils?
