  3. Imitate biting and chewing actions.
  4. Participate in singing songs about teeth and talking about their uses.

 

Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Sing “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” adapted for teeth.

Discuss uses of the mouth: eating, talking, singing.

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Show large teeth model.

Let pupils touch their own teeth.

Use mirrors for inspection.

Demonstrate biting and chewing using apple slices.

 

Materials Needed:
Large teeth model, mirrors, apple slices, teeth pictures, mouth diagram, dental health posters, pictures of healthy teeth

 

Movement Break:

Mimic biting and chewing with hand gestures or pretend apples.

 

Creative Time:

Color pictures of teeth and mouth.

Draw mouths and label teeth.

 

Language Development:

Introduce words: “Teeth,” “Mouth,” “Tongue,” “Bite,” “Chew.”

Pupils repeat words while touching teeth or using the model.

 

Assessment (Observation-Based):
✔ Can the child identify teeth, tongue, and lips?
✔ Can the child demonstrate biting and chewing?
✔ Can the child talk about the uses of the mouth?
✔ Does the child participate in teeth songs and discussions?
