  2. Understand the uses of the mouth and teeth (talking, eating, chewing).
  3. Practice simple tooth brushing motions.
  4. Understand that healthy foods help teeth grow strong.

 

Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Pupils point to their mouths as teacher points to theirs.

Show pictures of mouths and teeth.

Discuss the difference between baby teeth and adult teeth (simple terms).

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Use mirrors to observe own mouth and teeth.

Count teeth with help.

Teacher demonstrates brushing teeth.

Discuss healthy and unhealthy foods for teeth.

 

Materials Needed:

Mirrors

Pictures of mouths and teeth

Toothbrush and toothpaste (for demonstration)

Dental charts

Healthy food pictures

Tooth brushing song chart

 

Movement Break:

Pretend to eat and chew different foods.

Practice brushing motion in the air.

 

Creative Time:

Colour pictures of smiling faces and teeth.

Create simple teeth crafts using paper and stickers.

 

Language Development:

Teacher: “Teeth help us chew food and talk.”

Pupils repeat: “mouth, teeth, chew, eat, talk, brush.”

 

Assessment (Observation-Based):

✔ Can the child point to their mouth and teeth?
✔ Can the child explain one use of teeth?
