Circle Time (5–10 minutes):

Teacher shows real fruits and pictures.

Pupils repeat fruit names.

Discuss colours and shapes.

 

Main Activity (Hands-On):

Pupils touch, smell, and observe fruits.

Match fruit picture cards.

Teacher shows cut fruits to explain seeds and flesh.

 

Materials Needed:

Real fruits (apple, banana, orange, mango, pineapple)

Picture cards and flashcards of fruits

Plates, cutting board, knife (teacher use)

Toy fruits/models

Fruit song charts

 

Movement Break:

Fruit dance: Pretend to be different fruits.

Stretch arms like tall bananas or bend like grapes.

 

Creative Time:

Colour and draw favourite fruits.

Make fruit collages with paper or stickers.

 

Language Development:

Teacher: “This is a banana. Fruits grow on plants.”

Pupils repeat: “banana, apple, orange, mango, pineapple, fruit.”

 

Assessment (Observation-Based):

✔ Can the child identify fruits in real life or pictures?
✔ Can the child name at least two fruits?
✔ Can the child describe fruits by colour or shape?
✔ Does the child participate in fruit tasting safely?
