STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the three blind mice song;

 

She explains a Goose is a large mouse that has a pointed nose and a long tail

 

She explains that a clock is something that tells us the time. She explains all that numbers 1-12 can be found on the clock

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them a picture of a rat running up the clock

 

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

The mouse ran up the clock,
The clock struck one
The mouse ran down,
Hickory Dickory dock.

The mouse ran up the clock,
The clock struck two
And down he flew,
