SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  2. Count the Lions
  3. Colour them with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of lions, models of lions

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the wild animals song and introduces the topic and explains that a lion is the king of all other animals in the jungle

Using the picture of a lion she describes the major parts of a lion like the tail, its mane, its whiskers etc

She tells them a Lion is a wild animal and should not be played with

 

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the lions in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of lions there are

 

Pupils participate

STEP 3

COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to colour the lions with different colours

 

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify a lion

  1. How many lions are in the activity book?
  2. Colour the lions

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
