SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Identify shoes
  2. Count the shoes
  3. Colour them with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of shoes, real shoes, pupils as learning resource

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the personal belongings song and introduces the topic and explains that shoes are what we wear on our feet to prevent us from having injuries

She asks the pupils to show her their shoes

Then she proceeds to show and explain different shoes and where they are worn: slippers- at home, canvas/trainers- for sports, shoes-for outings, school and church

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the shoes in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of shoes there are

 

Pupils participate

STEP 3

COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to colour the shoes with different colours

 

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify shoes

  1. How many shoes are in the activity book?
  2. Colour the shoes

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
