STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the I love you, you love me song;

 

She explains that a mice is a rat while a carving knife is a tool in the kitchen for slicing strong meat and other items.

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them a picture of a mice and a carving knife

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

 

Three blind mice. Three blind mice.
See how they run. See how they run.
They all ran after the farmer’s wife,
Who cut off their tails with a carving knife,
Did you ever see such a sight in your life,
As three blind mice?
