SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  2. Count the Tomatoes
  3. Colour them with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of tomatoes, real tomatoes

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the fruit song and introduces the topic and explains that a tomatoes is a seed plant we use in preparing our delicious stew to eat staples like rice, yam etc

She displays the tomatoes and ask the pupils what they have seen the tomatoes used for

 

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the tomatoes in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of tomatoes there are

 

Pupils participate

STEP 3

COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to colour the tomatoes with colour red

 

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify tomatoes

  1. How many tomatoes are in the activity book?
  2. Colour the tomatoes

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
