STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the 12 sons of Jacob and Joseph’s song to introduce the topic.

She explains what a coat of many colours-  A coat of many colours is a coat that has many colours like red, yellow, blue, green etc

EXPLANATION

She then further explains that Jacob was the son of Isaac who had given birth to 12 sons but whose favourite was his 11th son named Joseph

DEMONSTRATION

Using the bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of Joseph

-      How Jacob loved Joseph because he was born at his old age

-      How Jacob preferred Joseph to his other sons and had bought him a coat of many colours

-      How Joseph’s other brothers had become jealous of him to the point of arranging for him to be killed

-      How the brothers had decided instead to sell him as a slave to Midianites and lied to their father that a wild beast had killed Joseph
